Why you decided to start this business? I've practiced orthodontics for over 10 years, the past seven in Tempe for a large dental company. I have lived in Ahwatukee for seven years, so it's home, where kids go to school, have friends. My practice focuses on Invisalign so I am looking to fill a niche in the community.

What didn't work when you first began this business? Besides opening in the worst depression in our lifetime? I'll let you know next year.

Biggest daily challenge: I have treated 5,000 people in Tempe, Chandler and Ahwatukee. I just need to let them know where I am now, get the word out that there is a new office here in Ahwatukee.

What you wish you'd known before you started: That our economy would tank as badly as it has.

Why should customers choose you? I have 10 years experience, created 5,000 smiles. I am an orthodontic premier provider of Invisalign in the Ahwatukee area. Our new office has a sports theme where patients can help themselves to pop, coffee, soft ice cream, kick back and watch one of the 10 flat screens, or play videos in the gaming area. I have been in a lot of offices around the U.S. and I think I have created the coolest one I know. We take all insurances.

What are your business goals? We want to build our name in the community as the place to get Invisalign treatment. Our goal is to be the largest provider of Invisalign in Arizona - nothing less.

Why did you choose Ahwatukee for your business? It's my home. I am excited about being more closely tied to the Ahwatukee neighborhood and offering Invisalign treatment as an option. I think there is untapped potential here in Ahwatukee.
