Scattered showers rolled into the Valley Thursday night.
Gusty winds and heavy but brief showers are expected to pass through the eastern half of the Phoenix area, especially east of Interstate 17 over and near Scottsdale, the National Weather Service said.
The storm is expected to quickly leave the area within an hour, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a ten percent chance of rain for the July 4th holiday Friday with a high of 108 degrees.
The chances of showers continue until Wednesday of next week with temperatures climbing back up past 110 degrees.
